Operations Planner

Reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent, the Operations Planner is responsible for ensuring there is a clear operating plan in place to deliver the monthly budget production plan so that the Christmas Creek Plant achieves the required planned tonnes per annum.

Key accountabilities will include:

Custodian of the weekly production plan Develop strategies for shutdown ramp-down, wash-down, dry/wet commissioning and ramp up Control room operator training & development in consultation with the control room coordinator SAP operations strategies, allocation and planning of housekeeping and labour Responsible for producing weekly Operator Maintenance Plan of PMO2 inspections to be undertaken by the area operators as well as scheduled process tasks such as crusher gapping, spillage focus and increasing operators knowledge

Qualifications and skills required:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an experienced or advanced plant operator’s role  Experience within Mining/Resources (Desirable) Computer Literate Competency in SAP (Preferable) Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint  (Essential) Well organised and able to display a methodical, systematic approach to work Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to solve practical problems Ability to positively influence people to achieve targets Exceptional time management skills Understanding and commitment of Health & Safety management methods Project manager experience or qualifications are desirable to champion continuous improvement.
