  • Provide the Eliwana project team a key contact for any mine planning requirements or interfaces
  • Developing detailed design and planning data to meet approvals submission requirements

The role is accountable for providing the day-to-day maintenance on our connected assets including our autonomous haulage and drilling fleets, in line with a best practice maintenance strategies

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Install and configure hardware, electrical and network technology systems for a number of our mobile assets
  • Calibrate and commission the GPS and AHS systems on a number of differenet heavy and light mobile assets
  • Coach and develop employees within the Maintenance team on best practice for maintaining the technology layer
  • Ensure setup of fleet management system is optimised to deliver maximum fleet efficiency and meet Mine Plan requirements.
  • Undertake fault diagnosis and repairs on Caterpillar and Flanders technology products

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Certificate III in Electro Technology or relevant Trade Certificate coupled with a minimum 2 years’ experience in an Auto Electronic/Communications/Electronics Technician/Mechanical Fitter role with demonstrated windows based IT systems knowledge and understanding of networking principles
  • 3 years’ experience working in a heavy mobile mining environment on related technology
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar MineStar products is preferred, with Command experience being highly desired
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and Technical Specifications
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)

RF Engineer

Based in Perth, you will design, implement and support RF communication systems for our production operations across the Pilbara (including autonomy, backhaul, two-way radio). You will understand wireless communication networking in the following areas:

- designing/optimising existing sites for new frequencies;

- experience creating coverage maps and predictions;

To be successful in this role, you must possess highly developed industry experience supporting radio communications infrastructure (ideally in a mining context).

  • Minimum 4-5 years of Radio planning or optimisation experience within an operational production environment.

The Permit Coordinator will be responsible for all Isolation, tagging and permit requirements for the Process Plant in either a routine daily or Shutdown capacity. This position will be imperative to maintaining the safety of people and equipment in and around the plant.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Carry out daily inspections of work areas to ensure correct isolations are in place and are functional
  • Ensure all permits are in place and coherent with the work requirements
  • Assist with preparing, planning and implementing all permitting and isolation plans prior to work commencing – e.g. shutdowns
  • Audit all permits to ensure compliance
  • Ensure all work orders are entered into the system
  • Comply at all times with FMG HSE policy and procedures.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Mine Engineer to join our Christmas Creek operations. Reporting to the Superintendent Daily Planning, you will lead and mentor a small team of talented engineers and be accountable for standards and timely delivery of detailed mine designs, site development work and production scheduling associated with the daily mine plan to meet Weekly quality and production targets. 

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Manage the delivery of the Daily Mine Plan to meet Weekly quality and production targets  
  • Reconciliation of Daily Mine Plan against the Weekly Mine Plan
  • Oversee delivery of operational pit, dump and related infrastructure designs
  • Coordinate mine development jobs (e.g. clearing, road construction, culvert installation etc.) to meet future production requirements
  • Engage with and support key operations stakeholders, especially the mining superintendents
  • Design and assist with implementing productivity initiatives and establishing best practice

Mine Planning Engineer

We are currently seeking highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our operations. Reporting to the Cloudbreak Senior Mine Planning Engineer, this role is responsible for carrying out detailed mine design work and some aspects of short term production scheduling associated with the delivery of the 3 month mine plans to set standards. It’s a site based position with 8 on, 6 off roster.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Delivery of operational pit designs and related infrastructure designs,
  • Support 3 month schedules in order to optimise associated resources and maximise the value of the deposit,
  • Refinement of ore zone designs and 3 month planning solids,
  • Reconciliation of actuals against 3 month and 2 year plans,
  • Understanding design standards, procedures and mining physicals,
  • Haulage scheduling, block model reserving, pit optimisation, waste dump designs

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering or similar,
  • Relevant experience gained as a mining engineer in open pit, preferably in iron ore,
  • Practical approach to engineering and design solving problems,
  • Mine design knowledge,
  • Computer proficiency (Excel, MS Office, Vulcan),
  • Strong analytical skills,
