Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Career Driven Draftsperson to join the engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring and preparing detailed drawing and plans for one of Queensland’s premier mining companies.

As an integral part of one of Australia most exciting project, you will be reporting to senior engineers and the engineering manager to help provide the best possible solutions for the upcoming construction project.

As the successful candidate will have had extensive experience in large industrial design projects, hold a tertiary qualification in structural or mechanical engineering, had site based experience, have a strong understanding of multiple software packages. You will also have the ability to produce accurate and thorough reports, presentations and proposals, have outstanding organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and be able to communicate with multiple levels of senior management and key stakeholders.

Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to oversee for several projects with one of Australia’s premier mining companies.

As one of the key drivers in delivering these projects, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice, executes analysis and benchmarking of the Maintenance function's, end-to-end performance and identifies and implements improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have had an extensive history working with mobile plant equipment including Trucks, Electric Shovels, Excavators and Draglines. You will also have knowledge of;

  • Developing the portfolio of Maintenance function improvement initiatives, working with Execution to execute it.
  • Creating and optimises maintenance work strategies for the Operation / area of accountability.
  • Initiating and approves Master Data requests for an area an Operation / area of accountability.
  • Update maintenance procedures, work instructions and control systems coding where relevant.
  • Validate work plans are in place for critical controls and monitors the effectiveness of the plans.
  • Initiate engineering requests (via 1SAP work management) on behalf of the Maintenance function to improve equipment safety and reliability, and ensures ownership of the same until completion.
  • Provide technical expertise to Execution to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work.
  • Provide feedback to the Planning function to improve future execution plans, designs, schedules and forecasts.
  • Engage with BPDC networks to initiate targeted coaching within the function.
  • Validate the standardisation of work instructions / procedures and strategies for the same plant equipment and infrastructure with the Operation or across multiple Operations when mandated.

The successful candidate will have had an extensive history working with mobile plant equipment including, Electric Shovels and Draglines. You will also have knowledge of;

  • SAP and SAP1
  • A Strong Understanding Of shutdown planning and scheduling.
  • Master Data accountability.
  • Update maintenance procedures, work instructions and control systems coding where relevant.
  • Validate work plans are in place for critical controls and monitors the effectiveness of the plans.
  • Initiate requests (via 1SAP work management) on behalf of the Maintenance function to improve equipment safety and reliability, and ensures ownership of the same until completion.
  • Provide feedback to the Engineering function to improve future execution plans, designs, schedules and forecasts.
  • Validate the standardisation of work instructions / procedures and strategies for the same plant equipment and infrastructure with the Operation or across multiple Operations when mandated.
The ideal candidate will be someone from a trade background that has had past experience in a similar role, You will hold you current S11 and Coal Board Medical or be willing to complete, 2 industry references and be open to long term contract position.

  • Liaising closely with operational and maintenance personnel

You will be able to prove a demonstrated and established track record in a Mine Engineering position in an open cut coal mining environment.


You will have a Degree qualification in Engineering , strong communication and leadership skills, demonstrated ability in mine planning and pit design, experience with high precision GPS, on site data capture and reporting systems, experience using infoMine and iVolve, contract Management  and be proficient in MS Office.
