The Role: Senior Open Cut Examiner (Maules Creek, NSW)

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mining Supervisor (OCE) to join our Open Cut Mining Operations at Maules Creek. This is a newly created position and for the right candidate, will progress their career and lead towards a Superintendent role. This position will be on an even time roster and attracts a competitive salary package, including a vehicle.

You will be in charge of the shift OCE’s and step-up team leaders for the production crews, each consisting of 110 operators. You will supervise the daily operations at the mine site to ensure production and budgetary targets are met whilst complying with relevant legislative and statutory requirements in the area of safety and environment.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, this role is responsible for monitoring production and coal quality targets and ensure mining work is performed in accordance with mining plans so that coal and overburden targets are met, as well as ensure compliance with environmental licensing requirements and employees understand and adhere to policies and procedures.

 Candidate Specifications

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

Open Cut Examiners ticket (essential) Proven performer as an OCE with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Knowledge of WHS legislation and statutory requirements in NSW. Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to act as a role model High level oral and written communication skills, particularly in delivering information How to Apply
