The Role: Mining Engineer (Gunnedah, NSW)

An opportunity exists for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our Technical Services team. You will be accountable for providing mine engineering support and guidance to existing operations and new projects to enable the business to achieve and maintain safe, sustainable and productive operations.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, this role is responsible for developing medium and Life of Mine plans and schedules for the Maules Creek mine, providing mine engineering support to new projects including Winchester South, supporting the annual JORC process and assisting sites in developing annual budget plans.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role will provide direct supervision of the daily activities of approximately 6-10 tradespeople to ensure coverage for planned maintenance and breakdowns.

The Role: Senior Open Cut Examiner (Maules Creek, NSW)

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mining Supervisor (OCE) to join our Open Cut Mining Operations at Maules Creek. This is a newly created position and for the right candidate, will progress their career and lead towards a Superintendent role. This position will be on an even time roster and attracts a competitive salary package, including a vehicle.

You will be in charge of the shift OCE’s and step-up team leaders for the production crews, each consisting of 110 operators. You will supervise the daily operations at the mine site to ensure production and budgetary targets are met whilst complying with relevant legislative and statutory requirements in the area of safety and environment.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, this role is responsible for monitoring production and coal quality targets and ensure mining work is performed in accordance with mining plans so that coal and overburden targets are met, as well as ensure compliance with environmental licensing requirements and employees understand and adhere to policies and procedures.

About The Role: Outstanding opportunities for highly motivated Electrical & Mechanical Tradespersons with NO coal mining experience required

These roles are for underground Mining Electrical/Mechanical Tradespersons and will be based at our Narrabri Coal Operations mine site in NSW. These are outstanding opportunities, for highly motivated tradespersons to work for a leading Australian Coal Mining company.

To be considered for the role, applicants need to be either mechanically or electrically trade qualified, licenced to work in New South Wales and have an appropriate certificate of competency. As these are entry level mining positions, previous underground mining experience is not required.

Successful candidates will be trained to equivalent certification level 2 in underground coal mining. Combined with your trade qualifications, the certificate course will form part of the program.

A comprehensive training plan will be implemented and monitored by the Engineering Superintendent, Statutory Engineering Managers and Development Engineers and will broadly cover:

Basic development mining techniques and machine utilisation : Routine Maintenance inspections, breakdown fault finding and major component change out : Mine Standards :

Upon successful completion of training, you will be appointed by the Statutory Engineering Manager Mechanical or Electrical. You will then be able to work on our underground equipment unsupervised and will be rostered on a shift with a crew. This process typically takes between 6 and 9 months.

About The Role

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an Secondary Support Co-ordinator to join our Narrabri Underground team.

Reporting to the Outbye Services Superintendent, this role will provide operational support to the mine by performing duties in the following areas as required;

All secondary support activities to achieve planned mining schedule Interactions with development & Longwall teams as required Responsible for the safety performance of the secondary support team by compliance with all Narrabri safety systems  Provide active leadership to  Supervisors, technicians, consultants and contractors Ensure compliance with all safety and and environmental obligations in regards to secondary support Formulate daily, weekly and monthly plans in accordance with mining schedule Ensure activities are conducted with due regard for costs, productivity, and quality of work requirements. Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards About You or Skills / Experience

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and qualities:

A certificate of competency as Deputy or Undermanager  Desired minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mining industry Proven track record in operational management at same or subordinate level Demonstrated management and leadership capability Demonstrated commitment to achieving business goals  Ability to prioritise Sound project management and proven track record in management of minor and major projects.
